According to the announcement, visitors to the Dolphin’s home stadium will only be able to use cryptocurrencies to buy tickets for the 50/50 raffle which features a variety of cash prizes, including special jackpots.
Commenting on the novelty payments system, Kim Rometo, VP and Chief Information Officer of the Dolphins, said that the team has “always” been seeking ways to “enhance the fan experience”. Litecoin’s creator Charlie Lee also shared a comment, saying that this partnership is a new and “powerful way” to raise awareness for crypto and show people that the cryptocurrency ecosystem is able to “support real world use” as never before.
